Chair-a-tea is an annual gala fundraiser in support of FEED NOVA SCOTIA. Hosted on October 15, 2009 at the Delta Halifax. Chair-a-tea raised over $70,000 to support food banks and meal programs in Nova Scotia last year. Nova Scotia’s business leaders continue to step up to the plate to ensure that the more than 38,000 Nova Scotians who depend on us have food on their plates.

FEED NOVA SCOTIA

FEED NOVA SCOTIA is the provincial food collection and distribution centre for approximately 150 food banks and meal programs across Nova Scotia. We provide year-round food deliveries to member food banks and meal programs who serve at least 38,000 Nova Scotians each month.While primarily in the business of food, FEED NOVA SCOTIA is much more than a food collection and distribution centre. We know that food banks play a vital role in the lives of Nova Scotians experiencing food insecurity, but we are also dedicated to finding long-term solutions to hunger and poverty that will ultimately reduce the need for food banks in Nova Scotia.
